Ask The Director: Who Are You?

I am the full-time director of TEAM 1500, which was formed in early January 2007 as a non-profit coalition of healthcare professionals. My own background is as an investigative journalist (nominated by the Wall Street Journal for a Pulitzer Prize)and a long-time advocate for equal access to medicine. I have previously consulted numerous for-profit and non-profit organizations on their efforts to sway public and industry opinions. I am a tier-one public relations expert and in that capacity have trained more than 5,000 senior-level PR people.
I first began writing and consulting in the dental industry about four years ago. In the process I became familiar with oral sedation dentistry and the great benefits it affords anxious and fearful patients. In the interim, I have done some writing and consulting for the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation as well as some of its individual members.
